At the close out ceremony of the WARIF Education School Program in partnership with @usinnigeria. WARIF has successfully implemented the WARIF Educational School program in three senior girls’ secondary schools across in Lagos state, Nigeria.
These senior secondary school girls were equipped with the knowledge and the tools to assist in the prevention of gender-based violence, highlighting the prevalence of cases of sexual violence and rape in the society.
Representing the Consulate at the closing event was Ms. Amanda Roche Brown, Deputy Public Affairs Officer in Lagos. She re-emphasized the rights of young girls and the importance of reporting abuse cases. She also commended WARIF for its impactful work through the education pillar.
