On October 14th and 15th, 2024, WARIF collaborated with HP on the WARIF Girls Project PLUS to educate and sensitize young girls about the prevention of gender-based violence at two secondary schools in the Osborne School Complex, Lagos State: Government Secondary School Maroko and Akande Dahunsi Senior Secondary School.
A total of 172 students in SS1 and SS2 benefited from the training, which was delivered by WARIF-trained facilitators using the WARIF WESP manual. Key topics covered included My Body and I, What is Abuse, Who is an Abuser and Steps to Reporting Abuse.
Additionally, HP introduced the HP LIFE curriculum, which was taught by members of the HP team present at the program, including Mr. Talar Akar.
