WARIF presented a copy of the newly launched “School Related Sexual and Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response Protocol for Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria” to the Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folashade Adefisayo.
This document, created by WARIF, in partnership with the Joint EU-UN Spotlight Initiative and the Lagos State University charts a path to creating safer spaces for students in tertiary institutions through SRGBV response and prevention as well as outlining proper steps in addressing accountability and punishment for those who contravene the laws against sexual violence on campuses.
The commissioner appreciated WARIF on the organisation’s commitment to end gender based violence in our tertiary institutions and communities.
Featured in the photo are Bridget Taremotimi, (WARIF General Service Manager), Folashade Adebanjo, (WARIF Programs Officer) and the Lagos State Commissioner for Education – Mrs Folashade Adefisayo.
