This program brings together male students aged 12–16 in informal, mentor-led group sessions designed to challenge harmful attitudes and norms surrounding masculinity and consent. Rooted in the belief that educating boys is vital to preventing SGBV, the Café empowers participants to become allies and positive role models within their schools and communities.
Facilitated by trained male mentors, including law enforcement and education professionals, these sessions create a safe space for honest reflection and peer-to-peer learning. Participants examine influences like pornography, peer pressure, and societal stereotypes while gaining tools for empathy, accountability, and respectful engagement.
Post-programme evaluations show impressive results including reduced porn addiction and alcohol use, as well as increased commitment to consent and protector roles.
