WARIF’s UN ACT campaign is our advocacy initiative, also aligned with the United Nations’ 16 Days of Activism, amplifying our global call for systemic and cultural reform. It blends policy engagement, public education, and multi-platform outreach to challenge the root causes of sexual and gender-based violence.
Through survivor-led panels, expert dialogues, and media campaigns, we demand concrete action from law enforcement, government bodies, educational institutions, and community leaders. The initiative also incorporates the iconic No Tolerance March and highlights WARIF’s actionable work at the grassroots level.
By questioning policy gaps, “Are we protecting survivors?”, “Are laws enforced?” We foster accountability and build momentum for sustainable change. Each year, the campaign strengthens institutional mobilisation and aligns Nigerian advocacy with global norms, ensuring that ending SGBV is both a local commitment and a universal moral imperative.
